This Sunday’s club ride has been cancelled due to Storm Darragh bringing, according to the Met Office forecast, a large amount of rainfall over the next 48 hours and wind speeds between 23 – 25mph but with gusts of over 50mph. There will be a large amount of surface water on the roads, the risk of fallen tress and debris and localised flooding.
I consider these conditions unsafe for a club ride.
However, the club reiterates riders are responsible for making their own decisions about the weather conditions they are comfortable riding in. If club members do choose to ride they do so at their own risk understanding this is not a Sussex Nomads ride.
Lets hope for better weather conditions next Sunday
